A historic plaque has officially been returned to its rightful place in the City of Folsom through a collaborative preservation effort hosted by the Native Sons of the Golden West, marking the successful conclusion of a community-driven initiative led by The California Landmark Foundation and supported by dedicated volunteers, heritage organizations, and public partners.

“The plaque is back,” representatives of The California Landmark Foundation announced, celebrating the culmination of months of advocacy, coordination, and community engagement. The organization expressed deep gratitude to its supporters and to followers of The Bill Beaver Project, whose continued encouragement helped make the restoration and re-dedication possible.

Special recognition was given to volunteers Tang Yang Najera and Kyle Jarrett, whose commitment and hands-on contributions were instrumental in achieving this milestone. Without their efforts, organizers noted, the project’s goals would not have been possible.

The re-dedication event was hosted by the Native Sons of the Golden West, whose stewardship and organizational support were central to bringing the plaque back to the community. Appreciation was also extended to the Native Daughters of the Golden West Grand Parlor for their continued dedication to preserving California’s historical legacy.

Additional thanks were shared with Barbara Leary and the City of Folsom for their leadership and collaboration in returning the plaque to public view, as well as with the California Office of Historic Preservation for its guidance and assistance throughout the process.

Organizers described the re-dedication as a meaningful day for local history and for all who value the preservation of California’s past for future generations.

The California Landmark Foundation thanked all partners, supporters, and attendees, reaffirming its commitment to protecting and celebrating historic landmarks across the state.
