In women's college lacrosse, there is great news for Central Michigan.

The Mid-American Conference tournament will go through the 2-time defending conference in Mount Pleasant.  That's because, the Chippewas beat Akron 11-7 to clinch at least a share of the MAC regular season crown.  The CMU ladies had another great all-around performance. Offensively, they were led by Sandy Edwards and Skye DePrado.  They both scored three goals.  Central also got another great game from goalie Alexa Martel.  Martel made 16 saves, she also broke her own record for most saves in a season by a CMU goalie.  The Central Michigan defense was also big, breaking up many Zips' attacks.  Head coach Emilia Ward is happy to nail another big win, they are feeling good as they wrap up the regular season this weekend.
