In men's college wrestling, the Central Michigan community got its' first introduction to the man, who's inheriting the storied program.

New men's college wrestling head coach Ben Bennett took the podium in a moment he's been waiting for. Bennett says after finishing his illustrious central wrestling career, he always wanted to become a head coach and run a college wrestling program.  The 4-time All-American has been on the maroon and gold coaching staff since 2013.  In 2022, Bennett was elevated to associate head coach.  In his 2nd season in that position, he helped Central Michigan win the Mid-American Conference championship.  After legendary coach Tom Borelli retired, it was the perfect time to call on one of the greatest Central Michigan wrestlers to take over the program.  Bennett says CMU is home, this is where he wants to stay and continue to build greatness in Mount Pleasant.
